This place is special. I ordered chicken and waffle. Both chicken and waffle are crispy from the outside and tender inside. I am surprised with waffle because the moisture and a bit of chewyness are still there. Usually crispy waffle tends to disintegrate and lacks texture. However, this place knows how to make it right. I appreciated a small gesture in the dish like blueberry garnish, high quality syrup, and generous whipped butter. Oh the chicken is well dressed with spices and salt so it is flavorful dish as well. I would love to come back to this place to eat the same thing over and try other dishes too.

Service was great! The shakshuka was delicious. Would recommend, especially with an extra order of pita. You'll need it. My dog also approves of the pita.

As devoted brunch enthusiasts and proud San Francisco locals, our visit to Cracked & Battered left us deeply disappointed and disheartened. Our order included a promising wide array of dishes: french toast, pancakes, waffle, chicken, eggs, coffee, potatoes, fries, and orange juice. This place was highly rated so we went all in and were super excited. To start, the coffee I ordered had a hair in it, a hygiene oversight that is simply inexcusable. Adding to the disappointment, the chicken was served cold. The French toast was not just below par; it was so unappetizing that I had to forcibly spit it out. The eggs, ordered with specific preferences (scrambled hard), were improperly cooked, further contributing to our dissatisfaction. What made matters even more disheartening was the owner's complete lack of concern. She appeared indifferent to our concerns and had an attitude that demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Her nonchalant demeanor as we witnessed her casually munching on fries while handling cups and straws, without bothering to wash her hands, was nothing short of alarming. To add to our dismay, flies were everywhere, landing on our food, including our fries. This unsanitary condition in the dining area only exacerbated our unpleasant experience. When I voiced my concerns and politely asked for accommodation, the owner seemed displeased and unwilling to make amends. As loyal locals who cherish the brunch culture in San Francisco, we expected much more from Cracked & Battered. We sincerely hope they take these issues seriously, especially the owner's attitude, the hygiene concerns, and the need for customer satisfaction, and make the necessary improvements to offer a brunch experience that lives up to the standards we hold dear in our community.

LOVED this place! Food was amazing and delicious. I ordered the C&B plate so highly recommend that. Owner was very sweet and welcoming. We got to sit in the corner by the window which was the perfect seating spot. Overall had a great experience :)

Went in for brunch. Got the chicken and waffles with an extra piece of chicken. The chicken was juicy and was well-spiced. The waffle itself was good. However, it was lacking in toppings. They only gave 4 strawberry slices, a small dollop of cream, and a miniscule amount of syrup. It also wasn't maple syrup (which I would have preferred). The restaurant was quite noisy, and the music selection didn't really help the atmosphere. In addition, the utensils felt cheap and flimsy.

Love this place! This is a great after-church hang; great for groups; fast service! The food is DELICIOUS and the service is even better! I love the ordering system where you can scan and pay for your own meal - which makes this great for large groups! My menu favorites: 1. C&B Plate (great for sharing) 2. Croissants French Toast 3. Extra chicken on the side (1 piece or 3 pieces)

After researching some breakfast spots in SF, my friends and I stumbled upon Cracked & Battered. The Indonesian/American Fare fusion looked delicious, and I can say, it was absolutely delicious! The Food: I went with the "Nasi Goreng" and a side of "fried chicken". The Nasi Goreng came with an incredibly well fired piece of chicken, the rice was flavorful from all the ingredients mixed in, and the egg added a nice topping to the dish. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, portioned very well too! The whole dish was absolutely delicious. The Service: Service was great! Staff were super friendly and attentive to our small group. Water refills were on point nd they answered any questions we had. The Atmosphere: Very nice restaurant, was nice and clean. Had a decent amount of seating inside, and only a few chairs/tables outside for dining. Overall, a 5/5! Loved the food and the service here! I'll be back again when in town. Highly recommend giving this a place a try!

We got eggs benedict and shakshuka. The hollandaise sauce on the egg benedict was perfect. Chicken was crispy, and biscuits had the right amount of crunch. Potatoes were okay, a little less seasoned for my liking. Shakshuka was alright. Hummus was delicious.
